Changing A Debian Package

Unpack it.
dpkg-deb -x name.deb dir

Get conf files
dpkg-deb --control name.deb dir/DEBIAN

Edit
vi dir/DEBIAN/control

Pack it again
dpkg -b dir edited.deb
